There comes a day.
Sat night was refreshing, no alcohol, no wild partying, just lots of Hokkaido crab and soba and green tea at a japanese buffet. Now, it was great spending time with the old council mates. Though some looked more ancient than others, no names here though haha. It was amazing, amazing how we were all still so close, no problems initiating conversations, discourse was smooth and silences rare and few in between. Noting that we haven't seen each other in about 5 million years. Seriously. I guess that sometimes, there are emotions and connections that just refuse to fade. Fade yes, but not significantly. So happy for some of them, some achieved great physical fitness, others, stunning intellectual growth. I bathe in their glory and their achievements, for it never harms to be successful friends :]. Haha.
And such are the moments of trancient refreshment, the clearing of the clouds, the reduction of uncertainties. In totality, it was an enjoyable time where I felt connected to the me I once was. I guess we all change. In good ways and in bad. Change, induced by many factors, environmental, emotional, spiritual or even genetic all play an important role in shaping who we are, and who we will become.
And change it is, in 2010, change it will be.
Totally new environment, people, faces, educational system, everything.
Completely new paranoia too.
But it is neccessary, for growth, for maturation and for personal persuit of excellence.
A must.
That day will come, when I'll fly, far away.
Not because I want to leave the ones I love here, it is the direct opposite.
Because distance makes the heart fonder.
Much fonder.
